Exciting news!

The Darling Trust received very welcome funding from Mike and Angie Rutherford towards the Trust's music outreach program - therefore making a dream of guitar lessons a reality!

Neil Rhoda, a local muso and esteemed sculptor, kindly volunteered to tutor the children.
We were able to buy instruments, sheet music and other essential equipment to kick start what hopes to become a Darling Community band - building confidence, musical awareness and creating an environment of fun, creativity and freedom of expression for our children!
Last week showed a keen interest from many children and their parents - tutoring and practice sessions will take place twice a week - Neil is confident that by March they will be able to showcase their progress in the form of an informal first time concert!

Watch this space for further developments and thank you Mike and Neil - this is a wonderful contribution to Darling!

'Ladies that Lunched' in 2011

On behalf of The Darling Trust I would like to thank all the 'Ladies that Lunched' in 2011!
Your support of the events which Jane and Loretta so caringly prepared and organised in aid of The Darling Trust's cause, is greatly appreciated.
Each of you have contributed in your own special way by attending, spreading the word, buying gifts, making the dishes and caring about the Darling Community.

Very needed fans for the 2 Grade R classes at the ECD centre were bought as well as an essential awning being welded as we speak to go up against this summer's heat! THANK YOU!

We look forward to many more occasions where we can answer questions to make it easier for you to 'spread the word' amongst those who have yet to attend!

Thank you in bucketfuls and be sure to look out for the next gorgeous event!

warm regards
